What Are the Essential Steps for a Kid-Friendly Skincare Routine?

When it comes to children’s skincare it's best to stick to products made especially for children. One must strictly avoid products with alcohol, strong fragrances, or harsh chemicals.

So, let's get to the routine -

STEP 1: Cleansing

Use a gentle cleanser, preferably fragrance-free and designed for children. Clean the face with lukewarm water, use the cleanser, and then rinse off. Do not vigorously rub or scrub the child’s face. Wash the face at least once a day, and additionally in the evening, to remove any dirt or sweat that might have collected over the day.

STEP 2: Moisturizing

Use a lightweight, fragrance-free moisturizer that contains simple ingredients like glycerin or ceramides. Apply an appropriate amount of moisturizer after cleansing to keep the skin hydrated.

STEP 3 Sunscreen

For children over 6 months of age, sunscreen can be applied to protect the skin from UV and harsh sun exposure. Use a mineral-based SPF 30 or higher sunscreen, and apply before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours or so, for maximum protection.
