Haircare Do’s and Dont’s

Welcome to Laksha Care, a premier dental clinic combining cutting-edge technology and a warm and welcoming ambiance. At Laksha Care, your needs and your hair always come first. So here are a few haircare dos and don’ts that will keep your hair smooth, supple, and shiny.

Do’s -

1. Choose the right shampoo for YOU.

Your hair, like you is unique and can be of different types. Figure out what your hair type (straight, curly, wavy) and hair texture (oily, dry, etc. are. Then pick a shampoo that is best suited to your hair’s needs. Oily curly hair will require a different product as compared to dry straight hair. Colored and bleached hair will require extra care. Thus picking the right shampoo is the first step towards your dream hair. Sulphate-free

options work best for those with sensitive scalps.

2. Trim your hair.

Regular trims every 6-8 months, will get rid of spilled ends, even out your hair and prevent it from breakage. So be regular with your trims, even if you are growing out your hair, for healthier locks!

3. Eat a balanced diet.

Even if you’ve got the haircare and routines down to a pat, your hair might still look dull if you are not nourishing it from within. Consume a healthy, varied, and balanced diet full of vitamins and minerals to nourish your hair from within, so your hair is always bouncy and shiny. If you are struggling with your diet or have questions on supplementation, head over to Laksha Care and our experts will handle the rest.

Don't's -

1. Overwash your hair

Yes, there is such a thing as overwashing, and if you are washing your hair every day, you might be doing it. Overwashing can strip your hair of its essential oils and lead to dryness. Stick to 2-3 washes a week for healthy tresses.

2. Use very hot water while washing your hair.

Everyone enjoys a nice hot shower, but sometimes it may be too hot to handle. Extremely hot water might damage your hair in the long term. When it comes to hair, it’s best to keep it lukewarm.

3. Brush wet hair.

If you’re someone who grabs a comb as soon as you walk out of the shower, you may be inadvertently damaging your hair. Let your hair dry before you go in to brush and if you have to brush while wet, brush gently using a wide tooth comb. These were a few haircare do’s and don’ts that’ll help you on your journey to beautiful, bouncy, bonny locks.
